iGoban is not Go game application, but a real GO board application for iPad. What it means is that this app doesn’t teach you how to play or have CPU mode to play the game against you. Instead, this application is dedicated to precisely create a beautiful, authentic Go board and stones on iPad.

Tap and drag to place or remove the stones and incline the iPad to the side to reset the game. Just like a real GO board, you can use this application to play even games, handicap games and do examinations with your friends.

Please enjoy Go games with iGoban.

For example:

■Play in hotels

■Play in cafe

■Play with the colleagues during lunchtime.

■Play at home without GO board

■For the lecture to someone who wants to learn GO

Crashes on launch :-(

I want to like this app- it looks very pretty. But it just plain crashes on launch, even after the latest update. Bummer.

3/5 stars

Obvious flaw

Very nice graphics, could be useful - if only it had auto color change. Why do I have to tap the bowl EVERY TIME?!? Usually players make turns after each other, you know. Of course the turn should be passed automatically, and bowl taps should be used to override the turn (when placing handicap, for example). Current behavior just doesn't make sense.

2/5 stars

Nice start

Agree that tapping a bowl is non-intuitive. Also found stone placement more difficult than necessary. The graphics are lovely and with additional programming this could be a great portable go set.
